I didn’t come from comfort. I came from consequences. I made decisions that ripped years out of my life. I paid for them — in prison, in silence, in regret that doesn’t wash off. I walked out carrying ghosts that didn’t ask permission.

Life didn’t welcome me back with open arms. Opportunities disappeared. My future shifted. People I loved were hurting. There was a point where it honestly felt like part of me had died — and if you’ve ever watched your life fall apart, you know that feeling.

But ghosts aren’t the end of a story. They’re the beginning of a rebuild.

That’s where the name Dead Inside came from. Not because I wanted to stay broken — but because that’s exactly where I started rebuilding.

People see the name and assume it’s about giving up. It’s the opposite.

It’s about standing back up after life knocks you down. It’s about carrying scars without letting them define you. It’s about becoming stronger because of what you’ve survived.
